Laura P. Anderson is a native of Santa Fe, New Mexico.  She moved to Weatherford, Texas at the age of 15, and she has been a proud resident of Parker County for over 20 years.  Laura graduated from Weatherford High School, and she then attended the University of Texas at Austin.  Laura graduated from the University of Texas with High Honors in 1997 with a B.A. in English.  She went on to law school at the University of Texas at Austin, where she received her J.D. with honors in 2000.

Laura was admitted to the Texas Bar in 2000.  She came home to the Metroplex and began practicing business law with the Fort Worth law firm of Kelly, Hart, & Hallman.  She later practiced business and employee benefits law with Whitaker, Chalk, Swindle & Sawyer, also located in Fort Worth.

Laura is married to Fort Worth attorney Seth Anderson.  In 2004, they welcomed the first of three children.  Laura took a sabbatical from the practice of law to care for their children full-time.  Family is a top priority for her, and she is very thankful to have been able to devote all of her time to her children during their very young years.  As her youngest child started pre-school, Laura began practicing law again on a part-time basis, continuing her focus in business law and adding a new specialization in estate planning.  As a mother, Laura has a special interest in estate planning.  She firmly believes that everyone can and should do their best to provide safety and security for each generation of their family.   Each and every person has a life story to share and a legacy to pass on.  Laura is committed to helping clients connect with and protect this legacy.

Laura and her family are active members of the Aledo and surrounding North Texas community.    Laura volunteers at her children's schools in the Aledo Independent School District and has served on the board of the Aledo Parent Teacher Organization, Inc. and the Aledo Education Foundation.  She is a board member of Aledo AdvoCats, a nonprofit organization that serves underprivileged children in East Parker County.  She also serves on the Board of Directors for Gracefully Strong and leads a local Girl Scout Troop.  She feels very blessed to be a part of such a vibrant and supportive community, and she is honored to work for and with Texas families.
